«MASTERSKAYA. Sovremennoe stroitelstvo» (WORKSHOP. Modern construction) is the largest information and analytical magazine in Belarus concerning architecture and construction matters for professional customers and consumers of construction materials and services, construction engineers, suppliers, designers, and architects. The magazine was founded in March 2004.

The magazine’s concept is:

providing professional counselling to corporate and individual consumers on choosing construction materials, building implements, equipment, and services available in Belarusian market and comparing their consumer parameters;

providing practical advice on design, construction, refurbishment, repair works, interior  finish and provision of amenities in housing and public buildings;

covering the most crucial events in the construction market in Belarus, currently implemented construction projects, investments contests and tenders taking place at present  

Issues covered by the magazine:

1. Capital construction, refurbishment, and renewal of housing and public buildings;

2. Construction units and materials;

3. Energy saving technologies and materials;

4. Engineer systems, implements, and ancillary equipment;

5. Architecture, interior design, and improvements.

The magazine’s audience is comprised of ultimate consumers (customers) of construction materials and services as well as their representatives who have direct impact on the latter’s decisions (awarding authorities, prime contractors, subcontractors, developers, creative boutiques, government authorities and local executive bodies). The magazine is intended both for top managers and professionals who participate first-hand in the process of choosing materials, equipment and implements, works, and services.   

The MASTERSKAYA magazine is the choice of the Minister for Architecture and Construction of Belarus and his deputies, top officials in the Ministry for Housing and Communal Services, heads of capital construction administrations (departments) in regional and district executive committees, housing and communal services organizations, the largest construction companies (trusts), production enterprises in construction industry, design institutions, and architectural agencies.

The magazine staff enjoy membership in the Union of constructors in Belarus and closely cooperate with Belarusian national technical university, Scientific research industrial and technical institute for construction (SRITIC), Belarusian scientific research institute for construction (BelSRIC), Scientific research institute for construction materials (SRICM).

The MASTERSKAYA magazine is a cofounder of professional contests inclusing the annual contest “For accomplishments in the construction industry in the Republic of Belarus” and the National public contest “The best construction material of the year” (www.stroykonkurs.by)
